Product Overview
The composite pet food pouch is a high-barrier flexible packaging bag specially engineered for pet food and treats, including freeze-dried meat, jerky, dental chews, biscuits and training treats.
It is produced by laminating multiple film layers that block oxygen, moisture and light, keeping snacks fresh, crispy and aromatic while significantly extending shelf life.
Available as stand-up pouches, flat-bottom bags and side-gusset bags, it delivers strong shelf appeal and convenient reclosable features for everyday use.
Material Structure
The pouch is built from several functional layers laminated together. The outer printing layer is typically PET or BOPP film, which carries high-definition gravure printing and provides surface strength.
The middle barrier layer is usually aluminum foil, VMPET or an EVOH coating, which is the key to blocking oxygen and moisture. An optional nylon layer may be added for puncture resistance,
which is especially important for sharp or bone-shaped treats. The inner heat-seal layer is food-grade PE or CPP, ensuring strong sealing and safe direct contact with food.
All inks and adhesives used are food-contact safe and BPA-free, with solvent-free lamination available.
